  • Counting down, counting down.
So here's my last entry before, "
DANG, YOU'RE 21" and not to mention LEGAL ehehehe

    Funny thing is,

I get real early wishes almost every year. It's good..and bad at the same time.
Good cos i assume they're either more EXCITED than me or bad because they got the WRONG date.
    I'd prefer the former.
I kid I kid. But it's the thought that counts :)

    I remember last year,

    *phone rings*

    "Happy Birthday, rascal!"

    *silent pause*
    I replied,
" Wow, i appreciate that you're one month early "

    Heh heh.
That was my cousin by the way.
But i thought it was funny cos it wasn't her first time anyway.

    CUTE-ny.

Anyway, here's what I did today,
    1. Attended boring lectures.
    andddd
    2. Bought myself a lovely dress :)

More like convincing myself that it's alright to spend and shop away for my birthday.

  • How do you know when you're not getting any younger?

Apart from celebrating your yearly birthday and spotting freckles, dark spots and wrinkles.

    For me,
My short term memory span deteriorates.

One important thing: You know you're getting older when you start receiving wedding invitations.
    or
You celebrate your friend's engagement party.

We celebrated Jasveen's engagement party at the country club last night.
    Congratulations Jasveen and Dev!
We are extremely excited and happy for the both of you.
May the two of you grow more in love each passing day :)

So the girls including myself, busy getting ready for the party.

If you have been following my updates, you'll recognize the famous saree I wore for Monash Cultural Night hehee *chuckles*

"Don't come in a dress, come in a saree."

    and so I did.

Here's Jasveen getting ready. We took a peek at her bridal looking Lenga :)

and we were in charge of registration.

My butt was sweating and aching after sitting down for hours, wearing a saree made it worse because of the extra layers of cloth.
    Malaysian timing.

Helping out at the registration wasn't fun at all.
We weren't sure of the guests names because all we had was a laptop and names listed on NOTEPAD.

Plus it didn't help as names were listed according to their nicknames.

    "Vicki mama"
    "Chandran and family with 2kids"

Archie and I struggled real bad with the names.

And so we got bored after a while..

    and so we started camwhoring.

Hahaha Kim looks really funny here.

  • You know that feeling.

The one you feel when you don't know what's gonna happen next, where and what you'll be after.

    Lost.

Sigh. I feel like an old lady. Worried and frustrated about life. Why oh why.
    What is it I want?
I don't know. There are just too many things at the moment, too early to say.

Anyway, the new semester has just begun but we're already planning for a holiday trip woo hoo!

Some pictures from the finals on Sunday:

    Jlo's Let's Get Loud.

    Q&A session for group.

    Nervous-nya.

Then came the categories session where we had to catwalk and go through the tough Q&A session.

    My question was:

-Why do you deserve to win this award?
    - What would you do with the winnings?
    - What year was Watsons established?
-What range of Nivea products have you used and what are the benefits?

    Before we got on stage:

    After the event:

    With mummy dearest.

    Hampers and more hampers.

    With John :)

    Will update soon.

    Good night peeps! :)

    And so it finally ended.

    The
Watsons YOU Awards finale, which lasted for almost 3months. Phew.

Special thanks to all of you who have supported me.
Although I did not walk away with the title, the whole journey was an awesome experience.
I've met plenty of nice people whom I will continue to keep in touch with.

As expected, questions like why do you deserve to win? and what have you learned throughout your journey?
not forgetting brand quizzes and product knowledge.

    *rolls eyes*

Anyway, congratulations to all of the winners! :)
and to those of us who did not win,
just know that we've given our best shot and we're the best top three ever (quoted from Mea)
    OUT OF 3000 candidates hehee.

I'll update pictures from the event soon.

    ERR HUM.

Eleven more days, eleven more days :)

Right now, this is what we'll need.

    Some sugary dessert.

    Ciao :)

  • Should I or should I not?

    The Avant Garde hairdo.

There's a hair show for A Cut Above at the end of this month.
But I'm still traumatized by the previous show two years ago.

    Indecisiveness has struck me again.

  • THE STARE.

So I was on my way out for dinner and some groceries shopping.
The journey to a nearby mall from my place is short so I walked.

I noticed this guy walking in front of me. Why?
Not cos he's cute or has an awesome body to drool for.

    But,

    He kept staring.
It's okay to stare but not that kind of stare you know something's up his sleeves.
Plus I had a long day so I expected to be left alone.

And so he continued staring (as in turning his head front, back and to the side)
He couldn't walk for God's sake.
I swear I would've gorged his eyes out and chopped off his fingers.
    You'll understand why.

And so it's only natural for me to stare back at him in annoyance.
And when you stare at someone, you expect them to look away.
    He didn't.

    He then winked at me.
So the annoyed me called him an asshole.
(Note that it was under the hot sun, and he was blocking my way ON PURPOSE while staring indecently)

No that wasn't how it ended.

He then stopped and walked side by side. He had the cheek to do so.

This time he said, "You look beautiful"
In his rather broken English (note that he's malay/indon/construction worker looking).
I ignored him. And that isn't the best part.

I continued staring at him with eyes like a lion preying on its victim.

    "I want to f*ck you"

That was clearly what he said in a terrible accent.
With eyes like a psycho staring at his victim and smile like a pervert.

I was stunned. Because he continued his shit by walking in front of me, with his middle finger behind his back.

    WTF.

And that got me real mad.

    How it ended?

I finally reached my destination safely.
But I had to chase and threaten to call the police.

It was scary but funny when I come to think of it.
It was broad daylight and I was in my casual shorts and shirt with my messy hair and face with no make up.

    Anyway,
Why do people like that still exist?
It's not like we haven't got enough weird people around.

So i just had to re-read a recent article on how criminals choose their target.

and that prompted me to check out celebrities before and after make up.
    Random i know.

So here are some Stars Sans Maquillage.

    Julia Roberts

    Britney Spears

    Eva Longoria

    and Jennifer Lopez.

    Amazing huh.
Make up does wonders. They're gorgeous.

Anyway, this is Cavin's site for your viewing.

    Introducing Christine:

      .

She's extremely sweet and caring unlike other models I've met.

    Good night, for now! :)

  • If only I could wake up to Friday and know that you're here.

    It's another Sunday.
The past week was a torture, attended many meetings and was left restless the entire week.

However, i just got back from a shooting at KL Park.
The place is lovely and huge but requires a lot of walking. A lot.
We arrived at 9 in the morning and the shoot continued till noon.

    Hence the exhaustion.

But before I go, here's a sneak peek at today's shoot.
    This is from Cavin.
    -unedited-

"Don't look at me!" he said.

    I'll remember his words. Fierce-nya.

Haha i kid. Basically he adores photographing from different angles.
So expect some photos of me staring elsewhere, doing funny poses.

I don't know what they feed on but the mosquitoes there are extreme bloodsuckers!

I got almost 20bites in less than 10minutes.
    It wasn't funny.

But we carried on anyway (with the itch and pain of course).

    That's my sulking-but-trying-to-smile face.

And i finally quit thinking about it.

  • I think I've developed a new phobia.

    Escalaphobia

The other day I was walking in this mall near my new place.
All of a sudden there was a loud BANG. Something fell.

" Oh no, i hope no one jumped "

    Then i saw this:

My oh my. The front part of the escalator collapsed.
Thank God no one got injured.

    ***

    The king of all kings.

You know you're in Johor when you see stalls by the roadside selling Durians.

You know those trucks carrying 101,D10 and many more "types". They taste almost the same to me.
I'm not a durian lover because I swear they smell really bad, especially when the house is filled with them.

Do you that you can get rid of the smell by just washing your hands with water flowing from the durian shell (if that's what they call it)?
It's amazing. Just a few washes and the smell is instantly gone.
Try it the next time you eat one.

    Sweet :)

Holidays are coming to an end for me because it's orientation week next week.
That means..more planning, more work, and more stress.
But i'm looking forward to my last semester though :)

I'll be organizing the upcoming Orientation Bash for new students.
That means more fun at the beach since i love beaches.

    Here's a peek:

Also, the Monash Talent Night 2009: Circus Theme
Auditions are something to look forward to :)

    Busy bee.

The finals for my Watsons contest is in two weeks time. So i can foresee a few stressful weeks ahead of me. Sigh.

    More pictures from recent outings:

    We celebrated Yujin's 15th birthday.

    Home barbeque at Jun's:

    Yummilicious food :)

     and more food.

    With Enci, and Jack (below):

    and.. Mickey.

We both love playing the piano.

My favourite piece: Pachabel's Canon in D from My Sassy Girl :)

It's time to pack and unpack. If you know what i mean.
    Meanwhile, here's a song i like.

There's always gonna be another mountain,
I'm always gonna wanna make it move,
Always gonna be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side,
    It's the climb.
    - by Miley Cyrus

    Good night! :)

  • He's just not that into you.
One with fewer pictures and more words.

It was my second time watching and I actually enjoyed it more.
This story revolves around mixed signals that both men and women try to sort out.

What does it mean when a guy says it is really good to see you?
Is he into me? Or am I just making a fool of myself?

That's what a lot of girls face. I'm not the love guru here but this film has a lot of quirky quotes that seem to make a lot of sense to me.
    Words that are somehow.. real.

"If a guy wants to be with a girl, he will make it happen, no matter what."

"We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you."

"Jumping every time your phone rings. Checking your e-mail a hundred times a day. Wishing you could write songs."

    and my favourite of all:

"If a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a shit, he genuinely doesn't give a shit. No exceptions."

So how do you know if you're the exception or the rule?

I've been both and I must say, I'd prefer the former though being the rule taught me to be stronger.
Most of us have been through bad times and we believe or would love to believe that we are the exception.
As for me, I'd like to believe that I am that girl who is different from the rest of them.
The one to make an impact and make him a better person.

But sometimes, everything's just too good to be true.

I don't know why but I was thinking about the game 'spinning the bottle' while watching. Random, i know.
Most of us have played be it sober or not.
If one were to ask me for my most embarrassing moment..

It isn't falling off the stage while claiming a certificate or forgetting my lyrics while performing.

I remember once I was attempting to sing in front of an old friend. My nerves really got me.
I couldn't explain why I was trembling but I was grateful he waited patiently.
My hands were ice cold until I gave up and it took me a whole 2 hours (yes, TWO FREAKING HOURS) before I started humming a tune.
Finally, my lips stretched to maximum and mouth wide open.
He loved it. I think. But God knows why I took so long.
Anyway, before I could reach the chorus (barely 20 seconds) my already flushed face became even redder.

*POOTTT* we heard a loud noise in the enclosed room.

    Silent pause.

I stopped singing. And we stared at each other before we burst out laughing.
    LOL.

    "That's one helluva fart, girl."

And then I ran for my..anyway, what I did was hid at a corner..and stayed hidden for a good 15minutes.

    Embarrassing.
I hope you didn't laugh too hard.

The movie ended with this song. Me likey.
     Friday I'm in Love.

    I don't care if Monday's blue
    Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Monday you can fall apart
    Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
    Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
    It's Friday I'm in love

    Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday, never hesitate...

I don't care if Mondays black
    Tuesday, Wednesday - heart attack
    Thursday, never looking back
    It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday, you can hold your head
    Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday - watch the walls instead
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday, never hesitate...

    Dressed up to the eyes
    It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
    Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a sheik
    Spinning round and round
    Always take a big bite
    It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
    You can never get enough
    Enough of this stuff
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    I don't care if Monday's blue
    Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Monday you can fall apart
    Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
    Thursday doesn't even start
    It's Friday I'm in love

Good night peeps, have a great weekend!
