  • If only I could wake up to Friday and know that you're here.

    It's another Sunday.
The past week was a torture, attended many meetings and was left restless the entire week.

However, i just got back from a shooting at KL Park.
The place is lovely and huge but requires a lot of walking. A lot.
We arrived at 9 in the morning and the shoot continued till noon.

    Hence the exhaustion.

But before I go, here's a sneak peek at today's shoot.
    This is from Cavin.
    -unedited-

"Don't look at me!" he said.

    I'll remember his words. Fierce-nya.

    ***

Haha i kid. Basically he adores photographing from different angles.
So expect some photos of me staring elsewhere, doing funny poses.

    ***

    ***

I don't know what they feed on but the mosquitoes there are extreme bloodsuckers!

I got almost 20bites in less than 10minutes.
    It wasn't funny.

But we carried on anyway (with the itch and pain of course).

    That's my sulking-but-trying-to-smile face.

And i finally quit thinking about it.

  • I think I've developed a new phobia.

    Escalaphobia

The other day I was walking in this mall near my new place.
All of a sudden there was a loud BANG. Something fell.

" Oh no, i hope no one jumped "

    Then i saw this:

My oh my. The front part of the escalator collapsed.
Thank God no one got injured.

    ***

    The king of all kings.

You know you're in Johor when you see stalls by the roadside selling Durians.

You know those trucks carrying 101,D10 and many more "types". They taste almost the same to me.
I'm not a durian lover because I swear they smell really bad, especially when the house is filled with them.

Do you that you can get rid of the smell by just washing your hands with water flowing from the durian shell (if that's what they call it)?
It's amazing. Just a few washes and the smell is instantly gone.
Try it the next time you eat one.

    Sweet :)

Holidays are coming to an end for me because it's orientation week next week.
That means..more planning, more work, and more stress.
But i'm looking forward to my last semester though :)

I'll be organizing the upcoming Orientation Bash for new students.
That means more fun at the beach since i love beaches.

    Here's a peek:

Also, the Monash Talent Night 2009: Circus Theme
Auditions are something to look forward to :)

    Busy bee.

The finals for my Watsons contest is in two weeks time. So i can foresee a few stressful weeks ahead of me. Sigh.

    More pictures from recent outings:

This is my girl, Charmaine with her new curls :)

    We celebrated Yujin's 15th birthday.

    Home barbeque at Jun's:

    Yummilicious food :)

     and more food.

    With Enci, and Jack (below):

    and.. Mickey.

We both love playing the piano.

My favourite piece: Pachabel's Canon in D from My Sassy Girl :)

It's time to pack and unpack. If you know what i mean.
    Meanwhile, here's a song i like.

There's always gonna be another mountain,
I'm always gonna wanna make it move,
Always gonna be an uphill battle,
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose,
Ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side,
    It's the climb.
    - by Miley Cyrus

    Good night! :)

  • He's just not that into you.
One with fewer pictures and more words.

It was my second time watching and I actually enjoyed it more.
This story revolves around mixed signals that both men and women try to sort out.

What does it mean when a guy says it is really good to see you?
Is he into me? Or am I just making a fool of myself?

That's what a lot of girls face. I'm not the love guru here but this film has a lot of quirky quotes that seem to make a lot of sense to me.
    Words that are somehow.. real.

"If a guy wants to be with a girl, he will make it happen, no matter what."

"We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you."

"Jumping every time your phone rings. Checking your e-mail a hundred times a day. Wishing you could write songs."

    and my favourite of all:

"If a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a shit, he genuinely doesn't give a shit. No exceptions."

So how do you know if you're the exception or the rule?

I've been both and I must say, I'd prefer the former though being the rule taught me to be stronger.
Most of us have been through bad times and we believe or would love to believe that we are the exception.
As for me, I'd like to believe that I am that girl who is different from the rest of them.
The one to make an impact and make him a better person.

But sometimes, everything's just too good to be true.

I don't know why but I was thinking about the game 'spinning the bottle' while watching. Random, i know.
Most of us have played be it sober or not.
If one were to ask me for my most embarrassing moment..

It isn't falling off the stage while claiming a certificate or forgetting my lyrics while performing.

I remember once I was attempting to sing in front of an old friend. My nerves really got me.
I couldn't explain why I was trembling but I was grateful he waited patiently.
My hands were ice cold until I gave up and it took me a whole 2 hours (yes, TWO FREAKING HOURS) before I started humming a tune.
Finally, my lips stretched to maximum and mouth wide open.
He loved it. I think. But God knows why I took so long.
Anyway, before I could reach the chorus (barely 20 seconds) my already flushed face became even redder.

*POOTTT* we heard a loud noise in the enclosed room.

    Silent pause.

I stopped singing. And we stared at each other before we burst out laughing.
    LOL.

    "That's one helluva fart, girl."

And then I ran for my..anyway, what I did was hid at a corner..and stayed hidden for a good 15minutes.

    Embarrassing.
I hope you didn't laugh too hard.

The movie ended with this song. Me likey.
     Friday I'm in Love.

    I don't care if Monday's blue
    Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Monday you can fall apart
    Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
    Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
    It's Friday I'm in love

    Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday, never hesitate...

I don't care if Mondays black
    Tuesday, Wednesday - heart attack
    Thursday, never looking back
    It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday, you can hold your head
    Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday - watch the walls instead
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday, never hesitate...

    Dressed up to the eyes
    It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
    Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a sheik
    Spinning round and round
    Always take a big bite
    It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
    You can never get enough
    Enough of this stuff
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    I don't care if Monday's blue
    Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
    It's Friday, I'm in love

    Monday you can fall apart
    Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
    Thursday doesn't even start
    It's Friday I'm in love

Good night peeps, have a great weekend!

  • And they say, "Three's a Charm."

    It actually is kinda true.
My third try really did worked for me ;)

    Anyway,
Have you seen ICE AGE 3?

I'm hardly a fan of cartoons and animations.
But because I am a big fan of Ice Age, I had to catch the premiere.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

It was pretty funny but I didn't laugh too hard though, probably because I've seen the trailer umpteen times.

This time, they brought us new characters.

One in particular is Buck (voiceover by Simon Pegg)

oh and little baby Manny, "Peaches" is really cute.

Go watch it, get out of the Transformers craze already!

    :)

  • Do you like your bed empty or filled with pillows, bolsters and soft toys?

    I prefer the latter.

    Anyway,

I'm gonna introduce my little boy today.

    ***

    *

    Meet
    Chuckles.

Birth date: Yet to be confirmed.
But born and raised in Selangor.

    This is him
    pouting.

    No, more like "
Hey, take a picture of me!"

He's chubby, cuddly and soft. He's fat and round but cute.

    This is him
    exercising.

    In case you are wondering,

That's him doing his daily sit-ups.

    Also,

     checking the size of his
    belly.

He can hardly see his feet but he's trying.

    Last but not least,

This is Chuckles posing for the camera.

    "What a workout."

    SO what happens when
    Chuckles meets Phoebe?

    *drum rolls*

Note: Phoebe loves toys, especially cute chubby ones.

    Will they get along?

    I guess
not, judging by the look on his face.

    Another week to go.
They'll be fine and so will I.

    :)

  • I'm finally done with this semester baby YEAH.

Note: Voting ends this weekend, so please vote for me HERE :)

Anyway, to mark the start of my extremely short break, i'll be flying home in a few hours time.

(can't wait to see Phoebe and how fat and naughty she's grown)
So here I am, typing away while waiting for MAR-DI to pick us up for a short get-together.

It's been a long while since the 4 of us sat down and enjoyed silly talks.

    Fast forward 24hours.

I'm back home in my new furnished room, comfy :)
Anyway, we headed to Tanjong last night for some great shisha before spending the rest of the night laughing away.

I'm gonna miss this annoying girl who calls me stupid for no reason.

Oh, but the chicken wings were awesome.

    *drools*

    My Saturday was spent at:

    Urbanscapes 2009
    The city's creative arts festival.

Loads of stuff and the place is huge.

It was pleasant considering that it was my first time to KL PAC at Sentul.

    More pictures:

I like this picture, they're already in position.

    At the railway.

It was my first time walking on the railway track like that.
    Exciting yet dangerous.

    Here's a recent photoshoot:

It feels good to be back where I belong.
Phoebe has grown so much CUTER with her fury petite body.

She kept jumping about the moment she saw me.
    She's the sweetest :)

  • How can SHE be a MAN?

I'm now motivated to be in shape like her.

    According to World News,

Megan Fox was born Mitchell Reed Fox in Rockwood, Tennessee.
From an early age, Mitchell showed an interest in both performing and women’s clothing.

By the age of 13, Mitchell had already started a career as a female child performer called ‘Megan Fox’.

At the age of 16, Fox's parents wanted to give him a sexual reassignment surgery to help him boost his career.
Since then Megan has been included on many Hottest Women lists in publications around the world.

    The hottest woman, HOW CAN.

Too hot to be true. I'm sorry boys.

But I still want his body

  • "If bad people hurt someone you love, how far would you go to hurt them back?"

Watched this film yesterday right after my Media Audiences paper.
One more to go and i'll be off to home sweet home :)

The setting reminded me of several other movies.
One in particular is Eden Lake. You gotta love it.
The gory scenes are unexpected and the plot is easy to digest.
Watch it if horror and thriller is your thing.

So back to the tag line.
If bad people hurt someone I love, how far would I go to hurt them back?
    Far, very far.

    What's happening tonight?

I'm catching TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN woohoo!

    ****
Anyway, I was thinking about dyeing my hair the other day. But the thought of brittle and nasty ends changed my mind.
I remember how I used to try all sorts of hair treatments.

Just to share some with you girls.

    a. If you happen to run out of conditioner or BROKE (hardly the case when you can't afford hair conditioner)
Use mayonnaise. The plain white mayonnaise helps to smoothen and soften hair.

Easy. Just wet your hair and apply it onto hair ends.Avoid the whole head so it won't be greasy looking.
You could add honey or avocado in the mixture.

It may look disgusting but it works! Slap the mixture.

    Another interesting method,

After shampooing hair, try pouring warm beer. Yes, warm beer on hair ends. It leaves your hair more manageable.
Remember to wash thoroughly until your hair no longer smell like beer.

    b. I use the hot oil treatment to moisturise hair. My favourite choice will be the VO5 hot oil.
It works like magic by replenishing hair nutrients
      .
Simply soak the tube in a glass of hot water and apply onto hair ends and massage.
You're on your way to gorgeous looking hair.

    ****

Eva Longoria's curls are amazingly beautiful. She looks good even in bob.

I'm definitely not the spontaneous kind when it comes to haircut.
The hairstyle tells a lot about the person.
It's annoying how I'd feel tempted to go for a haircut when accompanying my friends to the salon.

    Some photographs in recent years:

I've had slightly longer hair since 2003.

Long fringe and straight hair back in 2006.
Then I curled my hair back in 2007. Always liked how curls show off the ladylike personality.

    Semi-curled hair in early 2007.

    and you think that's curly?
    take a look at this.

    It's one messy hairdo.

I look like a fish, it justifies exactly my gold fish syndrome.

This was back in late 2007 for the L'Oreal Hair show.
Maintaining it was a pain in the ass.

However, after experimenting.. I am finally happy with my current hairdo.

    Curly wavy hair made from tying a simple bun;
      It's awesome. Try it.

    Gorgeous hairstyles?

Absolutely love Rachel Bilson's highlights and Blake Lively's curls.

     Are you a shopaholic?

You spend more when you're emotional?
Your spending habits result in added stress (when you go on a binge)
You're a compulsive spender (do you set limits?)
    You're constantly making excuses?
You've tried to control your spending in the past?

    My latest buys:
    • Roxy denim shorts (super love it)
    • Ms Selfridge's jumper (haven't worn)
    • MnG's formal dress (haven't worn)
    • High waisted floral skirt (worn once)
    • Belt from Nichii
    • High heels in Beige (parading at home and along the corridor)
    It must be the season.
    I know I ain't one, yet

Thursday, 18 June 2009

  • I need a vacation. So many places, so little time.
What to do? At least coming up with a few steps will help restless me.

Step 1: Choosing the perfect location

I doubt there's really the perfect spot. Almost everywhere is good to go, as long as you got the cash.
Fortunately for people born with a silver spoon, they go to any part of the globe as they wish.
As for me, I'm glad to be on the road or traveling to somewhere, anywhere.
For starters maybe somewhere nearby, that I can afford.
I've spent more than I should for this month for some valid reasons hehee

That is why you need to VOTE for me.
For those of you who aren't in my Facebook, click HERE :)
Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Now let's see, my choices will be:

    a. Bangkok

For overdose of shopping. I went earlier this year with my family and I'm missing the shopping paradise already.

    b. i) Phuket

Never been to Phuket, but I know I'll love it.

    or

    ii) Pattaya Island
Islands are the best places plus they're both in Thailand anyway.

    What about..
    c. Bali

WooHOO! Now that's a spot I've been looking forward to.
Just waiting for the right moment with the right company.

    or

    d. Melbourne
Of course to visit my beloved friends over there. Miss them hell loads!
Would love to explore the in-places and hotspots there too. Not forgetting the beaches!! :)

Step 2: Talking to the parents/guardian

This may be easy for some but note that some parents are paranoid, really paranoid.
My parents are definitely not one of them, not because they don't care but it's because they trust me.
I'm thankful for that. Being an only child isn't always the best thing and gaining independence may not be easy but I got it all covered.. i think hehe.

Once the permission has been granted, it's time to
Step 3: (Note: Only for middle class people such as the writer of this post)
Try your luck for some cash
    Or maybe some sponsorship.

Step 4: Book/Purchase your air ticket and accommodation

Step 5: Search for more info on your opted destination
See what documents you need, what nice places to visit and things to do (you don't want to look lost).
Check the currency and prepare your cash.
    and
    OFF YOU GO :)
    If only.

    *****

Anyway, here are more pictures from past events.

    Supporting my cousin, Klarissa :)

    More pictures:

At Zouk of course, and it's one of the rare times you'll see a smoke-free Zouk.

    Supporters with their creative works
Some even had their own banners printed out

Nice to see that Aunties still enjoy clubbing.
I remember my first time clubbing when I was 12- a cousin's birthday celebration where I accompanied my mum :)

    and the title goes to..

    Congratulations :)
